Riverside Middle's Mrs. Katie Gilson has been selected to participate in the Foundations of School Leadership Cohort 49, offered by the South Carolina Department of Education's Office of Leadership Effectiveness (OLE)!
Foundations of School Leadership (FSL) is designed to support teacher leaders from across South Carolina. The program helps participants further develop instructional leadership by offering personalized learning opportunities in conjunction with varied informational resources. Activities are centered around the SCDE’s Priorities of Personalization, Collective Leadership and Equitable Access to Effective Instruction.
Teacher leaders enrolled in FSL will have opportunities to reflect on their leadership style while adding to their leadership repertoire. Session time includes best practices, team capacity building and instructional leadership strategies. Participants will personalize their learning outcomes by creating/working on a plan that will positively impact their school. Teacher leaders will check in with their principal throughout the program to reflect on the plan.
