At Riverside Middle School, we consider it a privilege to honor our veterans through an event that brings our community together in gratitude. Our program will include various activities designed to educate our students about the significance of Veterans Day and express our heartfelt appreciation for our local heroes. Our celebration will consist of a presentation of the colors and a flag-folding ceremony by the PHS Air Force JROTC, selections performed by our chorus and band students, presentations by our students, an introduction of our honored guests, and a speech from our very own Mrs. Angela Guess.
If you would like to register as a veteran and be one of our honored guests, please use the link below to let us know your name, your branch of service, and the number of guests attending with you. Please complete this by November 8, 2024, so we can plan appropriately.
If you have any questions or require further information, please get in touch with us at dhuggins@anderson4.org or 864-403-2200.
We look forward to welcoming our veterans to Riverside Middle School and expressing gratitude for your service to our country. Thank you for your dedication and sacrifice and for being a shining example for our students.

The 7th and 8th Grade Riverside Singers in Southern Wesleyan's annual SWUfest Too- a middle school choral clinic for the upstate choral programs in the upstate. The two groups-made up of 116 RMS students this year!- use this great opportunity to receive feedback from SWU's esteemed music faculty to polish their festival pieces for this year's judged competitions! 🎶

Today, 7th and 8th grade AVID students calculated their Quarter 1 GPA.. Look at all those above 3.0! Some 8th graders got above a 4.0 because of English 1 and Algebra 1 classes. So proud of these students!

Not the result we wanted for Eighth Grade Night, but our Lady Bulldogs hung tough and forced a fifth game before falling to Walhalla by two points yesterday. Way to go, Ladies! The girls' next match will be Saturday in the Division Tournament at Seneca.

7th Grade AVID students visited Clemson's Science Outreach Center today. They got to learn about DNA. figure out what is killing the Eastern hemlock trees, walk the campus, and eat in a dining hall.

Big THANKS to Chief Deputy Coroner Don McCown and Public Information Officer Alyssa Whitfield of the Anderson County Coroner's Office for visiting with Mrs. McDowell's Career Exploration classes today! Mr. McCown talked with our students about the forensics (scientific investigation) that goes into the services that the Coroner's office provides to our citizens.

The Bulldogs' game last night was a true testament to our school family. Between 8th grader, Trae Brown, fighting for the extra points to clinch our win, our manager, Noah Miller, keeping our team hydrated and organized, our fans, filling up the stands and yelling loud, and our cheerleaders, for cheering and stunting to the very end in the cold and keeping that sideline LOUD...we are RIVERSIDE! It's always great to be a Bulldog, but last night was extra sweet! 🖤💛
